Marketing Mistakes
This year at SpeechTek there was a great example of a marketing mistake that no company should ever make. In the conference bag there was a set of fridge magnets with a bunch of telephony/speech words on them. I look one look at this and know that it was some of the best swag I had gotten at the show. The only problem with it is that nowhere does it say what company provided it! I have this great thing and no idea who gave it to me. This was a great chance for a company to impress upon me their brand name and they totally blew it. Next time please include a logo if you want the advertising to be effective ;-)

Actually, VoicePartners was on a business card size magnet attached to the bottom

You must have lost part of the page in your bag. At the very bottom, below the many lines of words, there is a business card sized magnet with the contact info@voicepartners.com and related information.
Btw, this is nothing new; I’ve gotten similar cards as swag at various other shows over the last two years. But, the particular choices and orders of words they chose is, indeed, quite funny.

Ok, I guess the problem was just with my bag. At least I now know who put it in ;-)
Thanks, RJ
