This year I will be doing two tutorials at SpeechTek in New York City.
Tutorial 1: Developing Call Control Applications with CCXML
In this session attendees will learn the basics of developing CCXML applications including an overview of the language and information on available tools/platforms. Attendees will review the source code from a CCXML application and learn how CCXML fits into their speech applications.
Tutorial 2: Creating and Deploying Next Generation Speech Applications
With the rapid migration of the traditional telephony network to one that is based on IP and Web technology, the next generation of speech applications will be created for, and deployed on, platforms that converge the traditional and IP based telecommunications infrastructures. This tutorial will provide the attendee with an introduction to the technologies involved in this paradigm shift, as well as the techniques to migrate existing applications to new the new model. Topics covered will include the traditional phone network, IP based phone systems, Web services as they relate to speech applications, the role of markup languages in application development and migration strategies based on real-world examples.
For the second tutorial I will jointly be giving it with Ken Rehor, Gene Eagle and Bill Scholz. My section will cover details on the infrastructure that goes into making Next Generation applications work.
If you are going at SpeechTek be sure to drop by!
